History[]
Diana of Themyscira (born around 3,000 BC) was born as a result of her mother Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons having an affair with the chief of the Greek Gods, Zeus. However to protect Diana, and Hippolyta, from the potential wrath and retribution of Zeus' wife Hera, the young demi-god parentage was hidden from her for centuries, and instead a false lie was spread that Diana had no actual father and that Hippolyta simply sculpted her out of clay and then gave her life.
Growing up on Themyscira, and being the daughter of its leader and queen, Diana wanted for nothing. She was also trained from a young age to be exceptional, in part due to her own exceptional gifts and talents, but also in part for preparation where she might one day have to lead the Amazonian people herself. As such she worked tirelessly, not only because of her duty as the heir to the Amazonian throne, but also because of her own hard-working personality. However in addition to this Diana also had a tiny bit of wanderlust, having always wanted to explore outside of Themyscira and visit the world of Man. However due to the laws of her own people she was forbidden to do so. That is until the onset of World War II, where Diana was given a quest by Zeus himself. Which was to re-capture Ares who had escaped his prison and return him there. With that Diana set off for the world of Man. After which she found herself right in the midst of the on-going global conflict. Finding herself seeing the darkest depths of humanity, but also at the same time seeing their potential for goodness. In most part due to the friends she made in the Justice Society of America, who Diana was made a member of before completing her mission to re-capture Ares and returning to Themyscira, where she would remain again for the next 50 some years before encountering the military man that would become her future husband, Steve Trevor, and becoming a founding member of the Justice League.

Trivia[]
- In the course of her long life, like most Amazonians from Themyscira, Wonder Woman was rarely monogamous and has had relationships with both men and women. That is until she met Steve Trevor, and entered into a serious and committed relationship for the first time in her long life.
- When she first entered Man's world Diana did not understand any of the pop culture references, but thanks to her allies and friends like Steve, Etta Candy, and her fellow members of the Justice League, Diana has become knowledgeable about such matters.
