Julia Robinson (Nightwing)

Julia Robinson is a girl from Jason Wayne's high school class, the first person whom he saves as Batman and later his partner, the third Nightwing in the Batman Family.

Pre-Nightwing

Julia was born as the daughter of two civil servants in Gotham in the year 2012. She spent her early life helping her parents with campaigns. By the time she was 14, she was one of the lead PR people during her father's campaign for re-election as mayor of Gotham. It was round about this time that she and Lucy Dallas first became friends.

When Jason Wayne first became the new Batman, she was the first person to be saved by him, albeit nearly at the cost of his own life. Later, she picked up on his continual disappearances. Eventually, she followed him during one such disappearance, since Lucy, who was at the time dating Jaso, believed he was seeing someone else. This was when she discovered he was Batman.

She would often cover for Jason when he vanished. However, she refused to let herself be his side kick purely out of a desire not to have him tell her what to do. Eventually, Jason was caught up in a brawl with Bane and found himself trapped in a warehouse with him. Julia knew she had to do something.

Becoming Nightwing

When Jason was trapped with Bane, Julia finally went to the batcave. It was there that she found Damian, who quickly began questioning her on why she was there. However, she refused to go into a long conversation with the former boy wonder, instead stating that Jason was in danger and she wanted to help. At this time, Damian told her to take her pick of outfit. She quickly grabbed the old batgirl costume. However, refusing to be the sidekick, she looked further, instead finding a female version of the nightwing costume, one which had been used by the second nightwing. She took this, becoming Nightwing.
