Ra's al Ghul: The leader of the League of Shadows.
Talia al Ghul: Ra's' daughter and bodyguard.
Bane: A product of Hugo Strange's super soldier project that would prove to be it's only true success. After which he would escape from the prison. Ra's would come to admire Bane and consider him a potential worthy successor as the leader of the Society. Subsequently he was taken under al Ghul's wing. Further refining his skills and making him his chief enforcer.
Hugo Strange: An esteemed polymath from Gotham who would eventually become a disciple of the League of Shadows. Becoming key in the conspiracy to purge Gotham, and coming to believe that he would become al Ghul's successor. He is a charismatic and cunning leader who becomes an influential figure in the Gotham Criminal Underworld as a part of his plans.
Silver Monkey: An apprentice to Ra's who serves as a personal assassin against high priority targets. After Bruce Wayne's defection from the League he'd be deployed to hunt down and kill him. In the process murdering Bruce's second mentor, Master Yoru.

Killer Croc: A deformed mobster who serves under Hugo Strange who helped refined his fighting skills. Acting as his shady enforcer on the streets causing a stir in the underworld as an up-and-coming crime boss whilst Strange plans with him behind the scenes. Whilst working with Strange he is unaware of the ultimate endgame of the League of Shadows.
The Sensei: The former leader of the group who was Ra's' mentor. Ra's ultimately had grander and more noble goals than he and thus eventually overthrew and was thought to have killed the Sensei in an intense battle.
Bruce Wayne: During his travels around the world he would eventually be found by Ra's and trained by the League of Shadows. When their true intentions of destroying Gotham became clear to him however he rebelled and went off on his own. Becoming the masked vigilante Batman.
