History
The story of Kax-El begins with his birth, the fruit of the unlikely union between Ba-El, a Kryptonian of great prestige, and Sarindia, a Tamaranian with a free spirit and a fiery heart. These messages contained accounts of their origins, their cultural heritage, and valuable advice for the future of their son, should anything happen to them. Fate, however, intervened cruelly. Krypton was doomed to destruction due to the instability of its core, and the only solution to guarantee the future of the little Kax-El was to send him to another world. Ba-El and Sarindia made this decision with a heavy heart, but they knew it was the only way to protect him. While other Kryptonians fled in different directions, Kax-El's ship was knocked off course by a solar radiation storm in space. As a result, he was left to wander the cosmos for a decade while his body remained in suspended animation.
During this time, his physiology absorbed the energy of various types of solar radiation, causing unexpected changes to his biology and granting him unique abilities upon awakening. With the mediation of Starfire and the Green Lantern Corps, Tamaran finally accepted Kax-El as a true warrior of his people.
