History[]
Lucas "Luke" Fox (born June, 1987) was the second son, and third child, of one of Batman's greatest allies Lucius Fox, and his wife, Tanya Fox. From a young age Luke held a deep admiration and respect for his father. So he worked hard to make him proud of him, but also for himself. But it was not just his father Luke adored, but also Batman after he appeared on the scene. After which he found himself fascinated with heroes and even began drawing images of what a Black Batman would look like. Just another thing he and his father bonded over. Though Luke relationship with his father did hit a rough patch. For after graduating from MIT in half the time it would take others, with dual degrees in electrical engineering and business management, instead of accepting any of the numerous high-paying job offers he had received, including one from Wayne Enterprises, Lucas instead decided to serve his country and entered the military, joining the United States Marine Corps. A decision he was supported by by everyone in his family, save his father who thought he was needlessly putting his life at risk and wasting his potential.
Yet despite his fathers' protest, and disapproval until the end, Luke still went ahead with his decision to serve. Where he completed two tours of duty before receiving an honorable discharge. After this he became MMA fighter and competed in caged fighting, having developed an interest for the sport while serving in the military. Though Luke's decision earned him even further scorn from his father. Thus they practically became estranged, Luke only communicating with Lucius when absolutely necessary. That is until early 2010 when Luke returned home to Gotham to truly reconnect with his family, especially his father. Which began with him taking a job at Wayne Enterprises as their Head of Securuty. Eventually leading him to discover Bruce Wayne was Batman and his fathers connection to his childhood hero. This discovery played a big part in Luke and Lucius mending fences. But what permanently fixed their bond is when Lucius revealed a suit he had made based on Luke's childhood drawings of a Black Batman. Specifically for him. So taking the suit his father made for him Luke became a hero, and member of the Bat Clan, known as Batwing.
Becoming an icon in the Black community, right alongside other heroes such as John Stewart, his eventual wife Mari McCabe, and several others.
Though despite having become a hero Luke also wished to do more for the people of Gotham, and the world in general, like his father and Bruce. So with that he made the decision to strike out on his own and in early 2017 moved to found his own company named Foxteca. He also began dating the step-sister of his fellow Bat Clan member and friend Kate Kane, Mary Hamilton. The two eventually getting married in the summer of 2020. Just after Foxteca truly took off. Making Luke a very happy and very satisfied man.
