History
Nova is a young woman and childhood friend of Jason Todd. She is initially a caring, sister figure towards Jason, the only source of kindness in Gotham City. Nova sees Bruce and Jason as partners, and hopes for the two of them to stop fighting and to work together for justice. As an adult, she lives with her mother in her mansion, and she is the only person that Jason trusts and communicates with as an equal.
Unlike Jason, Nova is of a lawful good alignment, and has even warned Bruce in advance of Jason's endeavors. At one point, she even walked to the bat cave in a storm in order to warn him. She is the first person to discover that Bruce and Jason are partners.
Her life begins with tragedy, her abusive father attempts to kill her mother. But Nova strikes her father's chest to his heart and killing him. Nova and her mother finally escaped from their father after years of trying to stop him for using cocaine. Now years later after tragic ordeal, Nova is now child and meets Jason for the first time. Jason and Nova are childhood friends and they are adore each other before Jason's disappearance.
Nova became a fearful and secluded girl, without anyone showing affection to her in her life. Apparently, Jason's touch was the first time she ever felt kindness, which overwhelmed her. When murderous intents are directed at her, she does not scream, nor cry and simply remains silent, because she knows she has no choice but to accept whatever is to happen to her.
