Don't underestimate the power of a Martian.

Riley King was born into a middle class family his mother coming to earth from mars. During the mass assault on mars with people dying she went to reach out to another planet. She met Riley's father Reggie and they fell in love almost like first sight(she was in a human form as a disguise). Some days later they were driving in the back seat while it was raining outside and it was a mass car accident happening everywhere on the highway. Reggie in the car fainted and it spun out of control it almost crashing into the multitude of cars ahead. His mother went into her full martian form yo stop then suddenly Riley's abilities manifested and a force field was generated around the car protecting them.
Riley's mother looked in shock as she didn't do anything she looked back at Riley feeling a psionic energy emanating from his body. They did get home safely and when Riley grew up his abilities furthered. One minute he could fall on his knee and feel immediate pain. The next whenever he was in big danger like taking a hit to the head the object would deflect the other way and he would feel no pain. Reggie one day came home extremely drunk after work and attacked his wife and child with his wife going into her green martian form immediately tossing him aside then went to go get Riley from his room to leave the house. He pulled out a match and lit a wooden bat on fire and swung at them with it. The martian woman fell to her knees and get swatted in the face by the bat severely damaging her then Reggie proceeded to call her a freak and before he could take a final blow Riley stepped in front of him and said to back off. "Who do you think you're talking to boy" and swung the bat at him which hit Riley in the arm when he was trying to block it.
Being pushed back Riley looked at his mother in distraught then looked back at his charging drunk father. "Enough!!!" and body projected force was sent flying into his father blasting his father and knocking him out unconscious. Riley then dragged his mother to a the car where she could get some fresh air... After she recovered they went for a car ride to seek out Martian Manhunter.
They did eventually find him and she asked if he could take Riley under his wing. He declined at first then one day when everything started to seem okay, a robbery gone wrong ended up having his other get killed while she was trying to keep Riley safe from one of their flame throwers. She was severely weakened then one of the robbers couldn't keep control of his bloodlust shooting the martian and leaving her to die. Martian Manhunter shuck in and immediately knocked around the robbers beating them brutally nearly killing them and Riley's mother died in his arms he sobbed fiercely and then Manhunter came to comfort him saying " I'm so sorry this happened to you when I could've helped. You don't have to be alone anymore. You will never have to be alone again" keep in mind this happened when Riley was 11.

Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Human/Martian Physiology: As a Human/Martian hybrid he has advantages and disadvantages. He is does not share the same weakness and humidity as a martian but he does lack their shape shifting abilities.
- Martian Physiology: Psion possesses the same powers as an average Martian. These include:
- {{#if:|Vulnerability to Fire: Martians are much more vulnerable to fire than the average Earth human. At times this has been portrayed as physical, psychological, or a combination of the two. The effect of this is to strip any Martian of their powers as they involuntarily lose control of their body.
- Extrasensory Input: Nine different senses.
- Martian Vision: Eyesight which extends the visible spectrum, visual acuity, and allows sight through most objects and barriers. Martian Vision is also similar to Kryptonian heat vision in that it can cause combustible objects to explode.
- Flight: The ability defy gravity and fly through sheer force of will. This ability is psionic in nature, and functions similarly to tactile telekinesis.
- Invulnerability: With the exception of fire, he is invulnerable to nearly all physical attacks. This is due primarily to their shape-shifting talents and the ability to increase the density of his molecular structure.
- Malleable Form: Psionic control over his physical form, even down to the molecular level. As a form of shape-shifting, this power enables Psion to contort his physical structure to adopt human form, elongate limbs, grow to immense size, and so on. He can also change the substance and material from which his body is made of. This allows him to produce weapons and clothing of any type. He can maintain the selected form for an indeterminate amount of time without undue risk or strain. This ability allows for the folowing powers:
- Intangibility: The ability to decrease his molecular density to become incorporeal and thus able to pass through solid objects, as well as increase it to become tougher and stronger.
- Invisibility: The ability to bend light waves around his body, rendering his invisible to most forms of human detection. Through this byproduct of shape-shifting, he can also alter their body's temperature, allowing his to become invisible to most forms of electronic detection.
- Size Alteration
- Regeneration: The ability to rapidly heal wound, from minor cuts to regrowing lost limbs. This include the regrowth of major body parts such as the head, heart, or similar primary organs.
- Self-Sustenance: Negating the need to consume food or drink. This also eliminates the need to produce waste.
- Superhuman Speed: Either through flight or natural movement, he can maintain the speed and reflexes far in excess to that of a standard Earth human.
This also allows: - Superhuman Endurance: His endurance is just as formidable as his strength or invulnerability. When not in the presence of fire, he can operate under extreme conditions for an indeterminate period of time without showing signs of fatigue. The exact range of this power is unknown. When in the presence of fire, this endurance diminishes greatly.
- Superhuman Strength: He possesses a strength comparable to that of a Kryptonian under a yellow sun.
- Telepathy: The ability to read the minds of others and project his thoughts to varying degrees. He can also project their mental essences into a gestalt community known as the "Great Mind". Through this, the community can enhance the telepathic strength of other Martians. This power can also enable him to reverse the effects of amnesia or psychological brainwashing.
- Mind Control: As an extension of his telepathic powers, he can also use the ability to alter a subject's psychological profile, enabling him to manipulate, and in some cases, outright control his chosen target. This practice is greatly discouraged however, and only rarely used.

- Tactile Kinetics: Psion is a a tactile kinetic meaning he has personal force field manipulation powered by his psionic(mental) energy, giving him incensed physical abilities,allows him to fly(but with considerable strain), he can extend the range of his force field or separate it from his body to perform telekinesis.
- Telepathy: He is also a telepath but he chooses not to rely on it but he can potentially rival Martain Manhunter's telepathic abilities.
Abilities
- Hand-to-Hand Combat (Basic): Like all members of the Brotherhood of Justice, Psion received a higher degree of training from Black Canary after being in the Brotherhood of Justice, enough to where he can hold his own with well rounded hand to hand fighters.
Strength level
Because of his Martian Physiology, Psion is incredibly strong, strong enough to lift up things like cars and trucks.
Weaknesses
Power Limitation: He lacks the Green Martian's shape shifting abilities.
