| ST4R is a world famous pop star, that is known for her love songs, and her massive fan base, of extremely loyal and combative stans. But that persona, is just one of the many she's adapted over the 200 plus years she's been alive. Her real self, Penelope Starchild, aka Poppy Star, is an obsessive, bloodthirsty killer, that has little to no remorse or empathy, for human life. But, she has a tendency to randomly become instantly head-over-heels for her victims or even totally strangers she sees in the streets, and will stop at nothing to win their affections, leading to some very complicated situations. |
History[]
Early Life[]
Penelope Starchild was one of nine children, of mixed Greek and Romanian heritage, in a relatively prosperous family. Her father was an entrepreneur and her mother was a pie-maker. They weren't poor, by any means, but Penelope found herself longing for more, her head in the clouds, longing for the romantic, eternal, fairy tale love life, her childhood books told her about.
This led to her falling for people, rather quickly, but, when they weren't perfect, like the princes she read about, she'd end things, just as quick, as they began. That led her to being 21 and unmarried; which was unheard of, since most Romanian girls her age and social status, were married off before they turned 18. She was asked to sing at a ball, by her father, with the sole intent, so that she would, hopefully, find her future husband. And, indeed, she was approached, after her performance, by one Comis (aka Count) Dimitri Vladislav, who wooed her almost immediately, with how prim and proper he was.
So much so, that, by the end of the night, they were engaged, destined to get married as soon as possibly, due to the intensity of their feelings towards each other, sure, but, mainly, due to Penelope's age. Little did she know, but, her fiance had no real intentions of being married to her, for long. His real intentions were not everlasting love; but to marry her, kill her on their wedding night, and take the riches for himself. But, after hearing her sing, at the ball, his cold, dead heart, felt as though it started to beat, once again, due to her beauty, both inside and out.
Marriage Life[]
As a result, after their wedding, when they went to bed, the Comis struggled with what he truly wanted. He decided to "snap out of it" and commit to the crime he intended, biting her neck and began to drain her of blood. But, right when she was closest to death, he pulled away, regretting his choice of killing her. After all, he had done this scheme for centuries, and truly craved to have his eternal loneliness come to an end. So, he force fed his vampire blood to her, causing her to transform, over the course of an agonizing week, into a vampire.
Early Vampire Life[]
Penelope, in a cruel twist of irony, got the eternal marriage she had desired since she was young, but, at the cost of her life. Now, she was cursed with an excruciating thirst for blood, that would drive her further and further into insanity, the longer she would go without it. Plus, her only company, was the very husband who had betrayed her. In order to keep the peace and to appease her pitiful husband, she stayed married and loyal to him, for thirty years. But, eventually, the straw broke the camel's back, causing her to snap, and finally kill her vampire master. Well, kill him as much as you could possibly kill an unkillable creature, such as he.
Education Career[]
ST4R, the bubbly, flirty pop star, isn't truly who Penelope is; she has a genius level intellect that even rivals Batman, at times. Afterall, most vampires, tend to get bored, and seek out higher education. This boredom, mixed with ST4R's fixation on blood, the human body and the entertainment industry, lead her to get several PhDs and Doctorates, in various fields; Hematology, Medicine, Fiance, Musical Theatre, etc. She attended the oldest and most prestigious universities; including Oxford, Juilliard, Cambridge, Johns Hopkins, and Penn State.
Entertainment Career[]
Over the course of two centuries, Penelope traveled the world, as a professional, world famous singer, & actress, eventually, becoming what could only be described as one of the first & some of the all time best "pop stars" the world had ever seen.
1930's[]
In the 1930's, she was a Betty Boop like singer, called Baby Star, deciding to use her last name, so she could blend in better. There was even a black and white cartoon made about her, that was very similar to Betty Boop and Looney Tunes, where she sang at a nightclub, and had to literally beat off men with a stick.
1950's[]
Later, in the 50's, she chose to go by Starilyn Day, a combination of Marilyn Monroe & Doris Day, acting in films and singing. She even inspired a Jessica Rabbit type character from a Who Framed Roger Rabbit-like movie, just like Vikki Dougan did, for the real Jessica Rabbit, making her a certified Sex Symbol of the decade. She also was the key inspiration for the Pin-Up Girl style, modeling for many many products and pieces of iconic art.
1970's[]
Once the 70's hit, she decided to hop on the Josie and the Pussycats bandwagon, and have her own girl group & TV show, called Starie & the Galaxies. The cast consisted of Starie, the lead singer, Venus, the drummer, Luna, the guitarist, their manager, Cosmo, and their trouble making, alien dog, Astro. She even starred in a movie musical that was similar to Grease, called Curl, which was about hair curlers. And inspired girls & women alike to get the Starie-Style hair look; ST4R even releasing her own hair care & product line, which was, of course, a best seller.
1980's[]
The 80's inspired her to go solo, and become Starnova, a Cher & Madonna & Olivia-Newton John, combo. Her album & movie called Meteor Shower, went on to go Diamond, making her one of the most iconic performers of the decade. The hit song, and the album's name sake, Meteor Shower, replayed on MTV more than any other song ever has, since people wouldn't stop requesting it. As a funny inside joke, she even starred in a classic 80's vampire movie, much like the Lost Boys, and became a recurring main character in a slasher movie franchise, like Friday the 13th and Halloween, making her a cult classic horror scream queen.
2000's[]
Y2K brought back the girl group, influencing her to create S4L (Star-Girls 4 Life), an amalgamation of TLC, Destiny's Child, and the Spice Girls. The group consisted of Stardust, aka ST4R herself, Sunshine, and Moonlight. She even went on to star in a movie remake of her own former band, Starie & the Galaxies. ST4R went onto release her own clothing line, and even had her own doll made, which constantly was selling out; even becoming one of the most sought after toys for Christmas. On Black Friday, mothers and parents everywhere, were getting into fist fights, just so they could get their child a Stardust doll.
Modern Day[]
Her current alias is ST4R, and she's one of the most famous pop star divas, of the modern age, inspired by Sabrina Carpenter, Black Pink, Ariana Grande, and other similar pop divas. Her influence, online and in real life, can truly start wars and move mountains, which is why people call her a modern day Britney Spears. She is a quadruple threat; singer, actor, dancer, and the most followed female influencer of all time. That combined with her legendary love songs, about yearning and longing, leads her fans to be infamously loyal, protective and incredibly vocal. So, anytime, any rumor that portrayed her in a negative light starts to spread, her modern day army, attacks it, silencing dissenters instantly.
Personality[]
ST4R is a classic case of having an alter ego, but, not knowing, which one is which. Is she the cute, lovesick pop star, whose smile and love songs, can hypnotize anyone to be her loyal fan. Or the sadistic, bloodthirsty, serial killer, that has no regard for human life, and will stop at nothing to get her next meal. The truth? Somewhere in the middle.
Penelope is a very lonely immortal that struggles with her addiction to bloodshed, and her, somehow even more harmful addiction; her obsession with love. She is a firm believer in love at first sight, and will fall head over heels almost instantly, for anyone that catches her eye, wanting to runaway with them and get married, on the spot. This, obviously, leads to her having an infamous rollercoaster of a love life, resulting in her being married nearly 15 times, engaged 40 times, dated hundreds of times, and has fooled around most likely thousands of times.
She is equal parts bubbly, and bloodthirsty, her attitude being able to change at the drop of a hat, but, only she knows exactly what sets her off; others find it nearly impossible to understand her, having her be labeled as dangerous and very unpredictable, by heroes and villains alike. Yet, because of her vampire heritage, people are automatically drawn to and fascinated by her, which, allows her to get away with being downright crazy all the time. Even the smartest, most morally sound of mind and body, easily can be blinded by her beauty and her song, falling victim, just as often as the more immoral, bad guys.

- Vampirism: Vampires possess the ability to turn others into vampires, by having them drink their vampiric blood, and, the new spawn are subservient to the one who "turned" them. But some strong-willed vampires have been known to rebel against their masters, as Penelope did to hers; Dimitri.
- Enhanced Senses: Vampires, like ST4R, once transformed fully, have greatly enhanced senses; far more intense than humans.
- Enhanced Vision: Poppy is able to see at 100%, regardless of environmental conditions; i.e. weather, fog, etc.
- X-Ray Vision: Penelope has x-ray vision; meaning, like Superman, she can look through walls, buildings, etc.
- Enhanced Hearing: ST4R is able to hear a pin drop across town, or conversations happening in a penthouse, while she's on the ground floor.
- Enhanced Sense of Smell: Penelope's nose is like a bloodhound; pun intended; able to pick up and remember people or objects scents for miles. And, when she's most hungry for blood, her smell, including the rest of her senses, are amplified; tenfold.
- Enhanced Vision: Poppy is able to see at 100%, regardless of environmental conditions; i.e. weather, fog, etc.
- Immortality: As long as she continues to drink blood, her body won't age or change, from when she was first transformed. She also cannot die from sickness or illnesses of any kind.
- Invulnerability: Poppy is invulnerable to 99% of forms of injury. Bullets, blades and blunt objects do no damage to her body, when she's fully fed.

- Superhuman Speed: Like her strength, Poppy's speed is superhuman; having been known to have races with Reverse Flash, and, sometimes, win.
- Superhuman Reflexes: Because of her advanced strength, Penelope can dodge virtually every single attack or projectile.
- Superhuman Stamina: As long as she's fully fed, Poppy can go without rest or relaxation.
- Claw-Like Nails: ST4R's nails are as sharp as daggers, and can elongate when she pleases. They also are quite strong and rarely ever snap off.
- Psychokinesis: Penelope is clairvoyant, communicates telepathically, and has mind control. When she's at full power, she can even control the minds of several people at once.
- Hypnosis: Much like a siren, her song and her mind powers, can easily hypnotize the minds of those within ear shot or eye contact.
- Hypnotic Influence: WIthout her even having to try or put in any effort, humans and others alike, are naturally drawn to her, and will feel a sense of loyalty or protectiveness. Think of it, as superhuman levels of pretty privilege.
- Illusions/Hallucinations: Poppy can make people see things, like their worst nightmares, or even she her, when she's not actually there.
- Thrall Creation: Those she bites and drinks the blood of, she can turn into human thralls; able to fully command and give them orders, as she pleases, and read their thoughts, via a telepathic link.
- Necromancy: All those that ST4R has killed, she is able to have rise from the dead, and, basically, become her own zombie slaves.
- Gravity Defiant: Gravity simply doesn't effect Poppy, like it does everyone else; able to climb up vertical surfaces upside down, like a lizard, or, simply walk up a wall and not a ceiling, as easily as she walks on the ground.
- Flight: ST4R is able to fly with ease, since, gravity does not affect her, in the same way, it does mortals.
- Teleportation/Apportation: Penelope can virtually appear or disappear, any and everywhere she pleases, unless certain magical protections are involved. And, If she knows the path, she can come out from anything or into anything regardless of how close it is bound or even if it is soldered shut.
- Animal Control: Poppy has a limited amount of animal control; able to summon hordes of rats, owls, bats, moths, foxes and wolves. But, if the animals get too scared or attacked too much, the control breaks, and the animals can flee.
- Weather Control: Within her range, Penelope can manipulate and direct the weather and the elements, creating storms, fog, and mist.
- Shapeshifting: Poppy is able to change her form, to grow & shrink herself. She can even turn into elemental dust and travel the moonlight's rays. She is able to pass through tiny cracks or crevices while retaining her form or in the form of a vapour.
- Transformation: ST4R is like a traditional, Bram Stoker's Dracula, type vampire; she can shift into a bat, wolf, rat or even mist or fog, all while her mental acuity stays the same. She also has the ability to alter their appearance at will.
- Blood Magic: Some very rare vampires, once transformed or "turned", can develop blood magic abilities.
- Blood Reading: When Penelope ingests someone's blood, she can learn all out the person, from their name, where they live, their personality, etc.
- Blood Manipulation: Poppy is able to control blood, either in someone's body or out of it, making it move, or shoot it out, like a bullet or spray, even able to make it into different shapes.
- Blood Learning: As well as being able to read people via their blood, ST4R also can learn other's skills and various knowledge, via ingesting their blood; i.e. learn the person's native language, gain the knowledge of scientist, or be able to ride a horse, etc.
- Enhanced Senses: Vampires, like ST4R, once transformed fully, have greatly enhanced senses; far more intense than humans.
Abilities[]
- Professional Entertainer: Penelope has spent decades, getting educated and perfecting her craft of entertaining the masses.
- Singer: Ever since she was a child, in the 1800's, she has been a skilled singer, singing at social events and parties, since she could remember. And, combined with her vampiric allure, she has an almost siren-like song, causing anyone with an untrained mind in ear shot, to, in a way, fall under her spell. Later in her career, she even won several Grammys and many singing competitions.
- Actor: As well as singing, Poppy is also an award winning actress, both in movies and plays, and also broadway musical productions, having earned enough acting awards to become an EGOT.
- Artist: Over the course of her over two hundred years, she has, of course, gotten various hobbies, including art. She is a proper painter and drawer; her favorite mediums are graffiti and oil paints.
- Social Media: Having been around since the dawn of social media, she has used every version of it, and has harnessed its potential, influencing power, to create one of the largest fandoms of all time, that are willing to buy and do anything she says.
- Dancer/Choreographer: In combination with her singing & acting skills, ST4R is a legendary dancer, making her a triple threat. She also has choreographed some of the most iconic dancing moments in history; the watusi, the backslide, and even helped with several movies, like Footloose, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and even introduced ballroom voguing to Madonna and her team.
- Pole Dancer: Poppy's dancing abilities have manifested into the sport of pole, which she has used for music videos as well as going undercover to find her next victim.
- Acrobatic: She has harnessed her dancing and vampiric powers, to become a proper acrobat, with incredible speed and accuracy.
- Gymnast: Since she is such a strong acrobat, this has allowed her to become a gymnastics champion, winning many awards, for her performance, flexibility, and upper & lower body strength.
- Genius Level Intellect: Although, often, she doesn't reveal it, Penelope is truly incredibly intelligent and smart, even having several degrees under her belt. And, well, when you've been alive for over two hundred years, you tend to, without even necessarily trying, you, naturally, gain a high level of wisdom.
- Expert Tracker: Her bloodlust, in combination with her vampiric powers, make her one of the best trackers out there; able to track anyone via their scent, for thousands of miles.
- Stealth: With her vampiric abilities, she is able to appear invisible, making her incredibly efficient in stealth related situations; she mainly uses this ability to stalk her prey.
- Hand to Hand Combat: Besides her many powers, when push comes to shove, she also is quite skilled at fisticuffs, having taken taekwondo, karette, and kickboxing, over the course of her many immortal years on this planet.
- Martial Arts: As stated above, ST4R is highly skilled in various forms of martial arts, allowing her hand to hand combat skills to be elite.
- Multilingualism: Poppy has traveled, near and far, for, you guessed it, two centuries. And, since the main goal of vampires is to blend in, she's had to learn to speak with the local tongue of wherever she goes. Either through study or through ingesting someone's blood, she is fluent in over ten languages.
- Deception: Penelope can use her mind powers, to deceive others, by crafting an illusion to convince others, or, simply use her natural ability to get into others head, without using her powers.
- Intimidation: With a combination of her allure, she is equal parts someone people love and people easily fear, her mental powers easily scaring off would be attackers, with a few simple words, or display of her raw power.
- Charisma: Vampires like her naturally have some sort of alluring charisma, that makes others want to be around her, or give her the benefit of the doubt, without her even having to try. That being said, even without powers, she has always been very charismatic her whole life, even when she was human.
- Seduction: ST4R's vampiric nature and beauty, makes her able to easily seduce others, regardless of their sexuality or gender identity, getting them to do her bidding, making her goon army, one of the largest and most loyal.
Weaknesses[]
- The Thirst: Like all vampires, no matter how old or powerful, still, are victims to the Thirst; the term used to refer to the fact that vampires are obsessed with and are addicted to needing blood. Even when they have had their fill and are fully fed, blood can still be rather tempting, depending on how resilient a vampire is, and if they are used to being full or not. Those that do not possess a consistent flow of blood, tend to be much more at the whim of their Thirst.
- Blood Deprivation: The longer Penelope goes without blood, the more vulnerable she can become, also leading her to become less and less intelligent, to the point, where, she can only speak like a caveman. However, even though, depending on how long blood has been withheld, she becomes feral-like, willing to do anything and everything and kill any or everyone she can, so she can soothe her eternal thirst for blood.
- Silver: Depending on how satisfied her thirst is, Silver can either cause minor skin irritation, or full on burns, and sometimes, if a vampire is weak enough, can leave scars. Once, while she was quite weak, a monster hunter, shot her in her lower back with a silver bullet, and, because of her healing Factor, the bullet wound fully healed, before she could remove said bullet; it still is there today. And, when she's quite weak, she can feel it start to burn her from the inside, causing agonizing pain.
- Obsession with Love: Despite her genius level intellect and several doctorate degrees, she has a twisted view of and obsession with being in love and love as a concept. This leads her to randomly falling in love with total strangers, coworkers, or even heroes she's in the middle of a fight with. And, once she has, she will become a total stalker towards them, stopping at nothing, so that she can be with them, and, hardly ever takes the other's feelings into account. This love sickness can vary, but, now a days, it doesn't last for long; ending 99% of the time, with ST4R killing their so called lover, starting the vicious cycle, once again.
- Emotionally Manipulatable: Those who learn or hear about her love fixation, they can use it to their benefit, whether they want to use her for a greater plan, avoid her killing you, or to lure her in, to, attempt, to kill her yourself; simply confess you love for her. Without fail, it will give her pause, leaving her open for attack, and potentially make ST4R totally crumble and instantly fall in love with you, making her your ally immediately. But be wary, because Poppy becomes a ticking time bomb, and, when you least expect it, you're gonna find a knife in your back.
